Based on scientific research, it considered that there was not sufficient medical knowledge to confirm the existence of a link between night work and the risk of developing a breast cancer for women who, over 25 years, have been exposed to night work at most once a week. On the other hand, in cases of several night watches per week over a period of less than 25 years, the dossiers will be examined on a case-by-case basis.<\/p>\n<p>In 2008, based on Danish and international scientific research showing possible links between night work during 20 to 30 years and the development of a breast cancer, the Department of Occupational Injuries and Diseases decided to recognise cases of breast cancer on certain conditions.
