In 2011, more than 25,000 cases of skin disease were reported to the OSH insurer, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dguv.de\/en\/index.jsp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DGUV<\/a>; this represents 35.2% of all reported cases. The DGUV therefore decided to promote workers&#8217; awareness. This campaign, organized in conjunction with dermatologists&#8217; organizations, is especially important in that very often the people affected underestimate the severity of their injuries, whereas the earlier the disease is detected, the easier it is to treat. The main issue will be occupational exposure to UV rays emitted by the sun. Firstly because many people work in the open air, especially in the construction sector and in agriculture.
