This is the largest increase in the past five years, according to a survey of company managers.<\/p>\n<p>According to the &#8220;Sickness absence survey&#8221;, back aches and MSDs are still the main cause of long-term absences (38%) in most companies. However, for one-quarter of the companies surveyed, stress and mental disorders are the main cause of long-term sick leave. Moreover, companies say they are helpless to combat these disorders. It should be noted that only 10% of companies have specifically trained their senior executives on mental health issues.
