{"id":23035,"date":"2015-12-02T11:10:35","date_gmt":"2015-12-02T10:10:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/an-online-tool-from-the-kan-for-ergonomic-machinery\/"},"modified":"2015-12-02T11:10:35","modified_gmt":"2015-12-02T10:10:35","slug":"an-online-tool-from-the-kan-for-ergonomic-machinery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/en\/an-online-tool-from-the-kan-for-ergonomic-machinery\/","title":{"rendered":"An online tool from the KAN for ergonomic machinery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/maschinenergonomie.kan-praxis.de\/en\/\">KAN Praxis<\/a>&#8221; online training module, intended for the writers of ergonomics standards, machinery manufacturers and designers and the buyers of machines and installations, is now available in English.<\/p>\n<p> It gives examples of machines and machine components which comply with the ergonomic criteria of the <a href=\"http:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/EN\/TXT\/PDF\/?uri=CELEX:32006L0042&amp;from=EN\">Machinery Directive 2006\/42\/EC<\/a> and those of the EN 13861 Standard &#8220;Safety of machinery &#8211; Guidance for the application of ergonomics standards in the design of machinery&#8221;. KAN Praxis also gives examples of methods to mitigate ergonomic risks. It is possible to do a search by load (physical, mental or environmental) and by machine type.<\/p>\n<p> The project was developed by the German Commission for Occupational Health and Safety and Standardization (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kan.de\/en\/\">KAN<\/a>), in partnership with two universities and the national insurance organization <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dguv.de\/en\/index.jsp\">DGUV<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The &#8220;KAN Praxis&#8221; online training module, intended for the writers of ergonomics standards, machinery manufacturers and designers and the buyers of machines and installations, is now available in English.
