{"id":23055,"date":"2016-01-19T13:43:12","date_gmt":"2016-01-19T12:43:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/cen-cenelec-2016-health-and-safety-work-programme\/"},"modified":"2016-01-19T13:43:12","modified_gmt":"2016-01-19T12:43:12","slug":"cen-cenelec-2016-health-and-safety-work-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/en\/cen-cenelec-2016-health-and-safety-work-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"CEN-CENELEC 2016 health and safety work programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In the &#8220;health and safety&#8221; section of its <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cencenelec.eu\/news\/publications\/Publications\/CEN-CENELEC-WP2016_EN.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">2016 work programme<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cencenelec.eu\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">CEN-CENELEC<\/span><\/a> has included personal protective equipment (PPE), ergonomics, explosive atmospheres, health and safety at work and vibrations:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12.16px; line-height: 1.3em;\"><strong>PPE<\/strong>: CEN-CLC will work on the activities identified in the report submitted to the European Commission to comply with <span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/growth\/tools-databases\/mandates\/index.cfm?fuseaction=refSearch.search&amp;lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">mandate 509<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/growth\/tools-databases\/mandates\/index.cfm?fuseaction=refSearch.search&amp;lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><\/a><\/span><\/span> on &#8220;protective textiles and personal protective clothing and equipment&#8221;. It will also work with the Commission regarding the transition period between the PPE directive (89\/686\/EEC) and the new regulation which is to be adopted in 2016<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12.16px; line-height: 1.3em;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Ergonomics<\/strong>:&nbsp;CEN\/TC 122 will continue to work with its international equivalent ISO\/TC 159 regarding the revision of various standards including EN ISO 6385 on &#8220;Ergonomic principles of work system design&#8221; and EN ISO 10075-1 on &#8220;Ergonomic principles concerning the mental workload &#8211; Part 1: General concepts, terms and definitions&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12.16px; line-height: 15.808px;\"><strong>Explosive substances<\/strong>:&nbsp;CLC\/TC 31 will proceed with revision of the EN 60079 series of standards.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12.16px; line-height: 1.3em;\"><strong>Occupational safety and health<\/strong>: The CEN&#8217;s Strategic Advisory Board for OH&amp;S (SAB OH&amp;S) will continue to collaborate with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.euroshnet.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Euroshnet<\/span><\/a> and, from a technical viewpoint, CEN\/TC 137 will proceed with revision of the EN 689 standard which defines a strategy for assessment of exposure by the inhalation of chemical substances in the workplace.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12.16px; line-height: 1.3em;\"><strong>Vibrations<\/strong>: CEN\/TC 231 will continue to work with ISO\/TC 108 on the development and revision of standards, including part of the EN ISO 10326 series on a &#8220;Laboratory method for evaluating vehicle seat vibration&#8221;; it will also work on evaluating exposure to vibrations transmitted to the hand, and on a guide relating to data banks on vibration measurements (hands and body).&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the &#8220;health and safety&#8221;
