{"id":23189,"date":"2017-05-03T15:40:00","date_gmt":"2017-05-03T13:40:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/a-standardization-strategy-for-personal-healthcare-services\/"},"modified":"2017-05-03T15:40:00","modified_gmt":"2017-05-03T13:40:00","slug":"a-standardization-strategy-for-personal-healthcare-services","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/en\/a-standardization-strategy-for-personal-healthcare-services\/","title":{"rendered":"A standardization strategy for personal healthcare services"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The CEN-CENELEC Advisory Board for Healthcare Standards (<a href=\"ftp:\/\/ftp.cencenelec.eu\/EN\/EuropeanStandardization\/HotTopics\/Healthcare\/ToR_ABHS.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span>ABHS<\/span><\/a>) has adopted a strategy, valid until 2020, regarding personal healthcare services.<\/p>\n<p>This strategy, presented in Stockholm in March 2016, is designed to help CEN-CENELEC &#8220;<em>take appropriate decisions and work out appropriate technical policies in the healthcare sector<\/em>&#8220;.<br \/> It follows on from the European strategy for the standardization of services developed within the framework of the <span>Joint initiative on standardization<\/span> signed in June 2016. Initiated by the European Commission, it aims to take into account the importance of services, which represent between 60% and 70% of economic activity in Europe and a similar proportion of total employment.<\/p>\n<p>In the service sector, personal healthcare is a key topical issue which will be dealt with in the coming months by <a href=\"https:\/\/standards.cen.eu\/dyn\/www\/f?p=204:7:0::::FSP_ORG_ID:2130749&amp;cs=16605FFC2C3DD055E0211682B6C062AA4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span>CEN TC 449<\/span><\/a>, \u2018Quality of care for elderly people in ordinary or residential care facilities\u2019.
