{"id":23307,"date":"2018-06-26T15:13:07","date_gmt":"2018-06-26T13:13:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/france-the-situations-and-sectors-most-affected-by-occupational-cancers\/"},"modified":"2018-06-26T15:13:07","modified_gmt":"2018-06-26T13:13:07","slug":"france-the-situations-and-sectors-most-affected-by-occupational-cancers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/en\/france-the-situations-and-sectors-most-affected-by-occupational-cancers\/","title":{"rendered":"FRANCE: The situations and sectors most affected by occupational cancers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In early June, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anses.fr\/en\/content\/presentation-anses\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ANSES<\/a> for the first time presented a complete review of cancers related to situations of occupational exposure in order to identify the sectors of activity and the situations most at risk, for the purpose of prevention.<\/p>\n<p> The findings presented show that asbestos is the suspected culprit in 42% of cases of work-related cancers examined, far ahead of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), which are suspected in 6.5% of cases.<\/p>\n<p> These work-related cancers mostly occur in the sectors of specialized construction work (16.2%), metallurgy (6.1%), and motor car and motorcycle sales and repairs (5.2%).
