Due to the pandemic, the Swedish Working Environment Authority is continuing its workplace inspections, but as far as possible by phone. These inspections consist of an interview with the employer on how he or she prevents occupational risks. They have the same status as physical visits.<\/p>\n
If necessary, the employer must submit documents to the Authority. If the inspector finds deficiencies in the working environment, an inspection message is sent with demands on what mesures the employer should take\u00a0 within a specified period of time. On-site monitoring may be organised when conditions allow.<\/p>\n
These \u201ctelephone visits\u201d enable the Inspectorate not to contribute to the general spread of the virus neither in companies nor among its inspectors and yet to ensure 90% of the planned surveillance.
