{"id":27020,"date":"2020-09-22T18:29:08","date_gmt":"2020-09-22T16:29:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/great-britain-8666-workers-affected-by-covid-19\/"},"modified":"2020-09-25T15:53:58","modified_gmt":"2020-09-25T13:53:58","slug":"great-britain-8666-workers-affected-by-covid-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/en\/great-britain-8666-workers-affected-by-covid-19\/","title":{"rendered":"GREAT-BRITAIN: 8,666 workers affected by Covid-19"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Where a worker has been\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hse.gov.uk\/coronavirus\/riddor\/riddor-reporting-further-guidance.htm#disease-diagnosis\">diagnosed<\/a>\u00a0as having COVID-19 and there is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hse.gov.uk\/coronavirus\/riddor\/riddor-reporting-further-guidance.htm#reasonable\">reasonable evidence<\/a>\u00a0to suggest that it was caused by occupational exposure, employers are required to report the case to the relevant enforcing authority under the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013(RIDDOR).<\/p>\n<p>Thus 8,666 cases were reported to enforcing authorities (HSE and LAs) over the period 10 April &#8211; 8 August, including 125 death notifications. The majority of reports received concern the Health and Social Work sector.
