{"id":27842,"date":"2021-01-27T15:37:40","date_gmt":"2021-01-27T14:37:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/hairdressing-european-social-partners-cooperate-to-improve-osh\/"},"modified":"2021-01-29T11:15:46","modified_gmt":"2021-01-29T10:15:46","slug":"hairdressing-european-social-partners-cooperate-to-improve-osh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/en\/hairdressing-european-social-partners-cooperate-to-improve-osh\/","title":{"rendered":"Hairdressing: European social partners cooperate to improve OSH"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/social\/BlobServlet?mode=dsw&amp;docId=12066&amp;langId=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">joint statement<\/span> <\/a>(pdf) dated December 2020, Coiffure EU and UNI Europa from the hairdressing sector welcome their cooperation with the European Commission and the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) to implement the European framework agreement on health and safety at work (OSH) signed in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>They confirm that the following actions have been undertaken in the sector :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Improving the effective application of the EU Cosmetics Regulation and raising awareness to ensure the safety of cosmetics used ;<\/li>\n<li>Improving OSH by possibly revising the guidelines for the 2016\/425 directive on personal protective equipment;<\/li>\n<li>Developing sectoral guidance to support the practical application of the framework agreement for workers and employers;<\/li>\n<li>considering the APS in the activities developed by EU-OSHA;<\/li>\n<li>cooperating with the Senior Labour Inspectors Committee (SLIC).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, the social partners launched a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni-europa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Tender-Specifications-Hair.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">call for tender<\/span><\/a> (pdf) to subcontract an external expert to carry out a systematic literature review on hazardous cosmetic substances.
