{"id":28561,"date":"2021-06-04T15:41:09","date_gmt":"2021-06-04T13:41:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/belgium-a-portal-to-support-the-well-being-of-carers\/"},"modified":"2021-06-04T15:41:09","modified_gmt":"2021-06-04T13:41:09","slug":"belgium-a-portal-to-support-the-well-being-of-carers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/en\/belgium-a-portal-to-support-the-well-being-of-carers\/","title":{"rendered":"BELGIUM: a portal to support the well-being of carers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Because \u201cOur heroes also need to recharge their batteries\u201d, a new portal offers healthcare providers scientific guidance, practical advice and suggestions to support their mental and other well-being.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cI&#8217;m recharging\u201d initiative aims to meet the growing demand from doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and paramedics for additional tools to support them throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. Indeed, a study carried out in May 2020 showed that seven out of ten nurses were at risk of burn-out. In addition, the &#8220;Power to Care&#8221; survey of 2,530 healthcare professionals in March 2021 highlighted the following feelings<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>feeling tired: 59% of participants<\/li>\n<li>being under pressure: 51% of participants<\/li>\n<li>not being able to relax enough: 47% of participants<\/li>\n<li>lack of sleep: 38% of participants<\/li>\n<li>concentration problems: 28% of participants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The portal is structured around four themes: lack of sleep, fatigue, stress and emotions.
