{"id":29734,"date":"2022-02-28T17:07:35","date_gmt":"2022-02-28T16:07:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/meps-give-their-opinion-on-the-strategic-framework-for-osh-in-the-eu\/"},"modified":"2022-03-01T17:10:33","modified_gmt":"2022-03-01T16:10:33","slug":"meps-give-their-opinion-on-the-strategic-framework-for-osh-in-the-eu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/en\/meps-give-their-opinion-on-the-strategic-framework-for-osh-in-the-eu\/","title":{"rendered":"MEPs give their opinion on the strategic framework for OSH in the EU"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The European Parliament&#8217;s Employment and Social Affairs Committee adopted on 1 February its report on the new EU Strategic Framework for Health and Safety at Work 2021-2027 by a large majority (43 votes in favour, 3 against and 8 abstentions).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo create safe and healthy workplaces fit for the 21st century, ambitious action is needed, also taking into account the lessons learned from the Covid-19 crisis\u201d. In particular, MEPs call for<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a European directive on psychosocial risks and well-being at work to combat burnout and stress;<\/li>\n<li>a targeted revision of the directive on biological agents to adapt it to pandemic situations<\/li>\n<li>the right to disconnect for all workers in the EU.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>They call on the European Commission to come forward with a text setting out minimum requirements for telework in the EU while reiterating their call for a directive on the right to disconnect.<\/p>\n<p>The Employment and Social Affairs Committee&#8217;s report will be put to a plenary vote in March.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.europarl.europa.eu\/news\/en\/press-room\/20220131IPR22211\/employment-meps-call-for-better-protection-of-workers-health-and-safety\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>To find out more<\/u><\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Focus-Eurogip-OSH-EUStrategic-Framework-2021.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Focus on the European Commission&#8217;s Strategic Framework 2021-2027<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The European Parliament&#8217;s Employment and Social Affairs Committee adopted its report on the new EU Strategic Framework for Health and Safety at Work (OSH) 2021-2027 by a large majority on 1 February.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":27107,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[907],"class_list":["post-29734","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-community-news"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
