{"id":30104,"date":"2022-06-13T10:46:10","date_gmt":"2022-06-13T08:46:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/ilo-makes-health-and-safety-work-a-fundamental-right\/"},"modified":"2022-06-13T10:46:10","modified_gmt":"2022-06-13T08:46:10","slug":"ilo-makes-health-and-safety-work-a-fundamental-right","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/en\/ilo-makes-health-and-safety-work-a-fundamental-right\/","title":{"rendered":"ILO makes health and safety work a \u201cfundamental right\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Delegates attending the International Labour Conference have adopted on 10th June a resolution to add the principle of a safe and healthy working environment to the International Labour Organization\u2019s (ILO) Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.<\/p>\n<p>Until now there have been four categories of Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work since the adoption of the Declaration in 1998:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining;<\/li>\n<li>the elimination of all forms of forced or compulsory labour;<\/li>\n<li>the effective abolition of child labour;<\/li>\n<li>the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The declaration \u201cclearly\u201d states that the rights it enshrines are universal.
