{"id":30434,"date":"2022-08-24T11:12:07","date_gmt":"2022-08-24T09:12:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/new-rights-to-improve-work-life-balance-in-the-eu\/"},"modified":"2022-08-24T11:12:07","modified_gmt":"2022-08-24T09:12:07","slug":"new-rights-to-improve-work-life-balance-in-the-eu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/en\/new-rights-to-improve-work-life-balance-in-the-eu\/","title":{"rendered":"New rights to improve work-life balance in the EU"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Since 2 August, all Member States have to implement the 2019 directive on work-life balance for parents and carers.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/EN\/TXT\/PDF\/?uri=CELEX:32019L1158&amp;from=EN\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">new rules<\/span><\/a> set minimum standards for paternity, parental and carer leave. They also establish additional rights, such as the right to request flexible working arrangements, which will help people to pursue their career and family life without having to sacrifice either.
