According to a new report<\/span><\/a> from Afa F\u00f6rs\u00e4kring, vibration injuries suffered mainly by men in the industrial and construction sectors are the occupational disease it has most frequently recognised between 2012 and 2021.<\/p>\n

And that is without counting cases of carpal tunnel syndrome. Indeed, the report, based on a review of 1,842 cases of occupational diseases caused by vibration injuries between 2012 and 2021, does not include it. Assuming that this pathology is most often caused by vibrations, this would mean that vibrations are the cause of more than one in two recognised occupational diseases in men.<\/p>\n

For Afa F\u00f6rs\u00e4kring to consider an occupational disease, the symptoms must have persisted for at least 180 days and the occupational nature of the disease must be recognised by F\u00f6rs\u00e4kringskassan, the Social Security Agency, or be on the International Labour Organisation (ILO) list of PDs.<\/p>\n
