Disability of more than 30 days accounted for 9.6% of all accidents, compared with 7.6% in 2021. Similarly, around 45% of all compensated accidents at work resulted in 3 days or less of incapacity to work, compared with 64% in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>In 2021, around 10% of serious accidents at work were due to falls, the same percentage to loss of control of equipment, tools, machinery, etc., around 10% to various sudden loads and around 10% to various objects that broke, fell or overturned. The majority of commuting accidents resulting in more than 30 days&#8217; absence from work involved women and more than one in two were over 50. Cases resulting in long-term incapacity to work become more common with age, particularly for accidents at work that involve the movement of a person.
