The authors draw the following conclusions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The education and training of OS&amp;H professionals could be harmonised. \u201cAlthough the European Framework Directive 89\/391\/EEC places special emphasis on preventive services in Article 7, there are still clear differences between countries\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Better channels of communication between all stakeholders are needed.<\/li>\n<li>The views of OS&amp;H professionals within organisations vary.<\/li>\n<li>In-house prevention services could include generalist and specialist involvement.<\/li>\n<li>SMEs are ubiquitous in the world of work and are growing.<\/li>\n<li>Data on prevention services need to be accessible.<\/li>\n<li>COVID-19 has changed the role of health and safety professionals.<\/li>\n<li>The commercialisation of prevention services is steadily increasing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/osha.europa.eu\/sites\/default\/files\/documents\/OSH-preventive-services-and-professionals_EN.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">To find out more<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An article published by EU-OSHA presents the point of view of professionals in 11 European countries (Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovenia and Spain) on the role of preventive services (internal and external) in supporting compliance with OS&#038;H legislation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":32590,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[907],"class_list":["post-32911","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-community-news"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
