{"id":33300,"date":"2024-09-30T09:47:45","date_gmt":"2024-09-30T07:47:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/eurogip-publishes-its-new-focus-on-european-occupational-health-and-safety-law\/"},"modified":"2024-09-30T09:47:45","modified_gmt":"2024-09-30T07:47:45","slug":"eurogip-publishes-its-new-focus-on-european-occupational-health-and-safety-law","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/en\/eurogip-publishes-its-new-focus-on-european-occupational-health-and-safety-law\/","title":{"rendered":"Eurogip publishes its new Focus on European occupational health and safety law"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of its <a href=\"https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/en\/publication\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>Focus<\/u><\/a> series, Eurogip has updated the Focus on European Union law applicable to the protection of health and safety at work (OSH).<\/p>\n<p>The document, which brings together the essential texts, is structured around :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a reminder of the key dates in the construction of the EU (Treaties), the various legislative acts, their adoption procedure, the central role of directives in harmonising OHS and directives based on Article 137 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the EU ;<\/li>\n<li>a presentation of the \u2018framework directive\u2019 (89\/391\/EEC) of June 1989, which laid the foundations for the essential principles for guaranteeing workers&#8217; safety, and the specific directives (known as \u201cindividual\u201d directives) covering more precise aspects;<\/li>\n<li>other texts relating to OHS, such as the new Machinery Regulation or the Recommendation on the list of occupational diseases, for example.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>One text is currently pending: the Directive on working conditions for platform workers, which has been adopted by the Member States but is still awaiting publication in the EU Official Journal.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/EUROGIP-Focus-droit-communautaire-SST-2024.pdf\"><u>Download the Focus<\/u><\/a> (available in French only)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As part of its Focus series, Eurogip has updated the Focus on European Union law applicable to the protection of health and safety at work (OSH).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":32556,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[905],"class_list":["post-33300","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
