{"id":35275,"date":"2026-01-03T10:59:51","date_gmt":"2026-01-03T09:59:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/?p=35275"},"modified":"2026-01-30T15:09:39","modified_gmt":"2026-01-30T14:09:39","slug":"france-anses-recommendations-for-better-protection-of-cleaning-staff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/en\/france-anses-recommendations-for-better-protection-of-cleaning-staff\/","title":{"rendered":"France : ANSES recommendations for better protection of cleaning staff"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The French National Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety (ANSES) has published a report analyzing the working conditions of cleaning staff and their impact on workers&#8217; health.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cleaning workers are exposed to numerous occupational risks<\/strong> (heavy physical strain, irregular hours, isolated work, exposure to chemicals and biological agents, etc.), and <strong>the sector has a higher than average accident rate<\/strong> (more frequent workplace accidents, more numerous and more serious occupational diseases, etc.).<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-35272 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Capture-decran-2025-12-30-105325-300x179.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"396\" height=\"236\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Capture-decran-2025-12-30-105325-300x179.png 300w, https:\/\/eurogip.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Capture-decran-2025-12-30-105325.png 582w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 396px) 100vw, 396px\" \/><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>In its opinion published at the end of 2025, <strong>ANSES recommends strengthening risk prevention in the sector<\/strong> by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>implementing a prevention campaign specifically targeting musculoskeletal disorders (the main cause of occupational diseases in the sector);<\/li>\n<li>promoting daytime work in order to limit isolation at work, the invisibility of staff, and shift work;<\/li>\n<li>facilitating access to prevention measures for cleaning staff by adapting them to their specific needs.<br \/>\n<hr \/>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>In the event of outsourcing of cleaning activities, ANSES recommends as a priority<\/b>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>reminding companies using services of their obligation to ensure compliance with labor legislation;<\/li>\n<li>strengthening the responsibilities of companies using services, for better involvement and cooperation with service providers;<\/li>\n<li>considering a change in the method of calculating \u201coccupational accident\/illness\u201d contribution rates in order to share the cost between service providers and user companies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.anses.fr\/fr\/content\/agents-de-nettoyage\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Find out more<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The French National Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety (ANSES) has published a report analyzing the working conditions of cleaning staff and their impact on workers&#8217; health.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":36,"featured_media":35272,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[909],"class_list":["post-35275","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-abroad"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
