About EUROGIP

Who are we?
EUROGIP is a French observatory and resource centre specialising in issues relating to insurance and the prevention of accident at work / occupationnal diseases (AW/OD) at international level, particularly in Europe. Created in 1991 within the Assurance Maladie – Risques professionnels (or “AW/OD Branch”), it acts as its international representative:
Unique in Europe, EUROGIP fulfils various missions: it conducts studies and surveys on international insurance and prevention systems; coordinates the participation of occupational accidents and diseases insurance experts in standardisation work in the field of occupational health and safety in France, Europe and internationally; provides the secretariat for the coordination of French notified bodies (CE marking) responsible for personal protective equipment (PPE) and machinery; participates in projects of Community interest in collaboration with foreign counterparts for European bodies; analyses international news and shares its expertise with its network (best practices of our European neighbours, new European regulations, etc.) and represents the AT/MP Branch internationally and facilitates its exchanges with foreign partners.

Public interest grouping formed by the French National Health Insurance Fund for Employees (CNAMTS) and the National Institute for Research and Safety (INRS).

Equi-representational Board formed by representatives of employers’ organisations and trade union organisations.

Resources
+ 80% come from a subsidy allocated by the National fund for occupational health and safety (funded by the insurance contributions paid by employers) and 25% from contracts and product sales.
