With some 40,000 posted workers working on Belgian sites every day, Constructiv – an organisation set up by the social partners in the construction sector – is continuing its efforts to make as many prevention tools as possible available in several languages.

Some publications are in German, English, French, Dutch and Ukrainian, while others are in German, French and Dutch. They cover a wide range of subjects, such as the assembly and use of rolling scaffolding, mobile lifting platforms, temporary perimeter protection on pitched roofs, recognising asbestos, etc.

GERMANY: Three new occupational diseases recognised

Under a new regulation adopted on 11 December 2024, three new diseases have been added to the list of occupational diseases and may be recognised as such under certain conditions. These are damage to the shoulder rotator cuff, gonarthrosis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
