Just after the “Healthy Workplaces” Summit of 3 and 4 November 2015 was completed, EU-OSHA started the countdown to the next “Healthier and safer work at any age” campaign which will begin on 14 April 2016. 

This campaign will focus on the concept of long working lives, drawing attention to the importance of good safety and health management at all ages and providing tools and practical advice in this area.

DENMARK: the benefits of physical training during working hours

According to the National Centre for Work Environment Research, 3 x 10 minutes of exercise a week could reduce long-term sickness absence by 13%. As a result, three local authorities have taken it upon themselves to offer such training to home care workers during working hours.
