In its report on 2023, the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA) presents trends in employment, accidents at work and occupational illnesses, pensions and incapacity for work. The European Parliament approves the new composition of the European Commission

On Wednesday 27 November, the European Parliament approved the new European Commission headed by Ursula von der Leyen, who is starting her second term in office. This green light still has to be validated by the European Council by a qualified majority. The new Commission is due to take office on 1 December.

SPAIN: ‘A day like any other’, the new motto of the prevention campaign

Every day in Spain, 2 people die at work and 35 are hospitalized as a result of an accident at work. Faced with these alarming figures, the Spanish government launched an occupational risk prevention campaign in November 2024 called “Un Dia Cualquiera” (A day like any other).
