SPAIN: ‘A day like any other’, the new motto of the prevention campaign

Every day in Spain, 2 people die at work and 35 are hospitalized as a result of an accident at work. Faced with these alarming figures, the Spanish government launched an occupational risk prevention campaign in November 2024 called “Un Dia Cualquiera” (A day like any other).

The campaign consists of radio spots, messages on social networks and a video. It illustrates the fact that an ordinary day can suddenly cease to be so, especially because of a preventable accident at work.

This initiative, which is part of the Spanish Occupational Health and Safety Strategy 2023-2027, aims to create a real culture of prevention among public administrations, companies and workers.

Preventing such accidents is a priority for the French Occupational Injuries and Diseases Branch (Branche AT/MP), which is playing an active role in standardisation work.
