On 24 and 25 January 2015, the ETUI brought together trade union experts from fourteen European countries and three European trade union federations to share their viewpoints and opinions on topical standardization news. Eurogip director Raphaël Haeflinger was invited on this occasion to discuss aspects of the “Joint declaration on standardization policy in the area of occupational safety and health”.

In this text signed on 25 March 2014, Eurogip and the INRS for France and the KAN for Germany reasserted positions that they share regarding topical standardization issues relating to occupational safety and health and confirm their excellent cooperation.

In an increasingly globalized environment, Haeflinger notably reiterated that the signatories reject the use of “new deliverables”, such as the CEN workshop agreements (CWA), to govern aspects of occupational safety and health, and the need to protect European achievements.
