According to a study by Manutan, a supplier of business products and services, 61% of the 865 workers questioned consider that the safety rules are not explained sufficiently.
Almost one out of two respondents has already been involved in an accident at work. Temporary workers, those speaking another language and young people are a high-risk group. Underestimation of risks, stress, fatigue and lack of experience are the main causes of accidents in the workplace. It is especially in factories and on construction sites that workers feel least safe.
And yet clear communication on all safety-related aspects can make a difference.
