A new agreement provides that the European Parliament can appoint an expert to the boards of directors of the following EU agencies: the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions (Eurofound), the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) and the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop).

MPs will also be entitled to invite to make a statement a candidate for the position of executive director in charge of everyday administration of each agency, including administration of financial and human resources. Parliament has reinforced the director’s role and has managed to ensure a better balance between men and women among the agencies’ personnel.
