EU-OSHA: three new publications on emerging risks to health and safety at work

The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) warns about the impact of technological developments on occupational safety and health (OSH). Through three new publications, it sheds light on the issues related to sustainable mobility, electromagnetic fields and eco-anxiety, while proposing solutions.

AUSTRIA: an accident while travelling on an e-scooter is excluded from accident insurance

The Austrian Supreme Court recently upheld the decision of the legal accident insurance that an accident that occurred in February 2023 while commuting on an e-scooter could not be considered an accident at work. The reason given is that this means of transport is ‘generally not accepted or safe’.
