The Government has commissioned the Swedish Work Environment Authority to analyze the circumstances of the fatal accidents at work that occurred in 2018 and in the first half of 2019, to draw conclusions and to consider appropriate solutions.
The analysis work, which may involve different stakeholders, should focus in particular on the most dangerous industries. Conclusions must be easily accessible and personalized. They will be submitted to the Ministry of Labour at the latest as part of the Annual Report 2019.

In January 2016, the government adopted a 2016-2020 strategy for the work environment, which is based on a “vision zero”: “no one should die because of their work”. Concrete efforts are needed to prevent accidents at work.
