Scientific meeting: 30 September 2025, Paris, France

The French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Safety and Health (Anses) and Dares are organizing a scientific meeting on the theme of (new) occupational health issues at the French Ministry of Labor, Health, Solidarity and Families.

“New professions, new organizations, digital and environmental transitions: the world of work is evolving rapidly, with profound changes in terms of occupational risks, whether physical, organizational or psychosocial. Faced with these challenges, it is vital to encourage and develop scientific research in order to gain a better understanding of the links between working conditions and workers’ state of health and, ultimately, to design appropriate preventive measures. On this occasion, Anses and Dares will present the results of the research programs they have carried out or financed to shed light on these developments, focusing on three themes:

• the diversity of exposures in different occupational environments and the resulting health risks (from asbestos to radio frequencies);
• new work organizations, in particular telecommuting and digital platforms;
• the links between work intensification, exposure to psychosocial risk factors and mental health.

At the end of the day, a round-table discussion will put the risk-based approach back into perspective, and examine the exposome concept in the light of scientific, social and legal issues. The day will conclude with the presentation of the white paper on occupational health research, currently being prepared as part of the Santé Travail 2021-2025 plan, and the identification of new research perspectives.”
