Preventing Risks to Young Workers: Policies, Programs, and Workplace Practices (EU-OSHA)

Young workers (ages 15–24) are a highly vulnerable group when it comes to occupational safety and health (OSH). However, the majority of OSH risks are preventable—whether they affect young people or older workers—through the application of risk assessment principles and the implementation of necessary preventive measures. To promote the exchange of information on best practices, the agency has produced a report on the management of occupational safety and health for young workers, covering both policies and practices. This report includes various case studies and also identifies certain success factors in prevention.
