At the end of September, EUROGIP was invited by Carsat Sud-Est to present an overview of mental health in the workplace abroad. On this occasion, Anna Piazza, researcher at EUROGIP, revealed some details of her upcoming report on the prevention of psychosocial risks (PSR) in the workplace in Europe and internationally.
Presentation in Marseille on mental health in the workplace
At its annual plenary meeting, Carsat Sud-Est asked EUROGIP to give a presentation on mental health in the workplace. On 22 September 2025, Annarita Piazza presented a number of best practices from several countries, including France.
Her presentation focused on the following topics:
- Psychosocial risk factors in the workplace;
- The consequences of psychosocial risks on individuals and within companies;
- Legislation in different countries regarding psychosocial risks;
- The role of employers in preventing psychosocial risks;
- Examples of initiatives, tools, and guides from different countries around the world.
This was an opportunity for the French network to discuss this public health issue, which is also managed in the workplace.
An upcoming report on the prevention of psychosocial risks at the international level
EUROGIP’s presentation was based on data from a mapping of the prevention of psychosocial risks (PSRs) at work at the international level, a large-scale study to be published at the end of the year. It will identify national efforts to ensure mental health and well-being in the workplace in a number of European and non-European countries. In particular, it will look at the development of prevention at EU level, in international organizations, and in national legislation; it will list the tools available to help employers assess psychosocial risks and the financial assistance available to prevent them.
