FRANCE: an information note on protective visors

Home > The news of EUROGIP and occupational risks in Europe > FRANCE: an information note on protective visors

A note from the French Ministries of Economy and Labour sets out the conformity assessment procedure for protective visors against Covid-19.

It is part of the interministerial instruction following the European Recommendation for the placing on the market of personal protective equipment (PPE). Indeed, the protective visor against SARS CoV-2 is a category Ill PPE, within the meaning of EU Regulation 2016/425.

The work of the French coordination of Notified Bodies – led by EUROGIP – served as a basis for this note. PPE subject to the described procedure may be made available on the national market until 1 September 2020.
