It’s European Week for Safety and Health at Work! This year, the focus is on the prevention of psychosocial risks and mental health at work. To mark the occasion, EUROGIP is taking a look back at its study published last March, entitled ‘Prevention of psychosocial risks at work: overview of legislation, tools, and prevention measures in Europe and internationally”.
As a reminder, this study provides an overview of the approaches adopted to prevent psychosocial risks in 12 countries, including seven European countries (Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Sweden) and five non-European countries (Australia, Canada, Japan, South Korea and the United States).
Among the major issues addressed, it examines the various national laws regarding employers’ obligations, the inclusion of psychosocial risks in risk assessments, the right to disconnect, and the management of violence and harassment in the workplace.
This study thus enables prevention specialists, insurers, and decision-makers to better understand the various psychosocial risk factors, grasp the applicable legislation in this area, and discover new practices implemented in other countries around the world.
