EUROGIP is regularly approached by other organizations, both French and international, to assist them in carrying out their work. This involvement can take various forms: literature reviews, analyses, drafting of reports, statistical studies, consultations, or the development of content in collaboration with project leaders. This page provides a non-exhaustive list of the work carried out by organizations with an international reach to which EUROGIP has contributed. This report presents case studies from various workplaces that demonstrate how a risk assessment process has made it possible to identify a risk and eliminate or significantly reduce it. The main objective of the report is to illustrate how risks can be eliminated or reduced at the source in the workplace.

The hotel, restaurant, and catering (HORECA) sector encompasses a wide range of businesses, including hotels, pubs, and restaurants; contract caterers serving various industrial and commercial premises; fast-food outlets; and cafés and bistros. It plays a significant role as a job creator in the service sector and in the economy as a whole in many EU Member States. With over 7.8 million jobs, it is essential to manage risks and prevent the causes of accidents and occupational diseases in the HORECA sector. The aim of this report is to provide information on occupational safety and health in the HORECA sector and to present an overview of good practices, both in terms of public policy and in the workplace.

2007
Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are the most common work-related health problem in Europe. Combating MSDs requires action in the workplace. First and foremost, preventive measures must be taken. But for workers already suffering from MSDs, the challenge lies in preserving their employability, keeping them in work, and, if necessary, reintegrating them into the workplace. This “Return to Work” report from the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work focuses on the retention, reintegration, and rehabilitation of workers with MSDs. It consists of two parts: a literature review on the effectiveness of work-related interventions and an overview of policy initiatives in Europe and internationally.

Every day, millions of workers in Europe are exposed to noise in the workplace and all the risks that this can entail. While noise is a major problem in sectors such as metalworking and construction, it can also be an issue in many other workplaces, from airports to farms, call centers to concert halls.

This report is intended for anyone who influences health and safety in the construction industry. The 16 cases described in this report examine a range of issues that affect health and safety standards. These issues include design and planning decisions, the effectiveness of partnerships, training issues, site management, risk assessment and monitoring, cooperation with workers, the actions of enforcement authorities, and measures to address specific risks.
