The European Commission is launching a stakeholder consultation on the structure of a guide it is developing on the practical aspects of the implementation of Regulation 1025/2012 on European standardization.

The Commission announced it in November 2018 in its Communication entitled “Harmonized Standards: Enhancing transparency and legal certainty for a fully functioning Single Market”.
The Communication provides an overview of the functioning of the European standardization system and reviews initiatives launched in recent years to support the implementation of the European Standardization Regulation, including relevant case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union.
