OSH standardization
EUROGIP coordinates and oversees the work of “standardization” experts from French Occupational Injury Insurance.
The standard is a tool for prevention that helps to improve health and safety in the workplaces of tomorrow. It does so by allowing the incorporation of safety into design phase of products. This is why the Occupational Injury Branch involves some eighty experts for the development of standards.
EUROGIP manages and finances the participation of the experts in standardization committees, planning for French (AFNOR standardization and other offices), European (CEN and CENELEC) and International levels (ISO and IEC). It also provides the necessary expert assistance ensuring mission effectiveness.
Another part of the activity ensures the launch and follow-up studies based on draft standards in the Branch. Comments on the draft standard, submitted on behalf of the Branch after consultation with suitable experts, allows the voice of prevention to be heard loud and clear between different partners.
