ITALY: Covid-19 declarations down in 2021 compared to 2020

Between the beginning of the pandemic and 30 November, Inail registrated 185,633 reports of work-related coronavirus infections and 797 deaths. These represent more than one-sixth of the total number of accident at work reports received as of January 2020.

NETHERLANDS: a new centre for compensation of occupational diseases

The Netherlands is one of the few European countries that abolished (in 1966) the specific system of insurance against occupational accidents and diseases introduced in 1901. However, in September the Dutch government set up a new centre of expertise (LEC-SB) which could be a game changer.
