Study of the phenomenon of under-reporting of accidents at work in Europe
In this study, EUROGIP examines the phenomenon of under-reporting of accidents at work in Europe using three statistical methods: comparative, fatality matching and survey data.
The research approach undertaken has made it possible, in line with previous studies carried out by the BSN and by Eurostat, to confirm the existence of such a phenomenon. The actual level at European level is difficult to quantify very precisely. However, it is estimated that between 13% and 35% of accidents at work that occurred in 2013 were not reported to the competent authorities in the field of paid employment.

FRANCE-GERMANY: OSH indicators 2010-2014
To generate finer trends and allow comparisons, EUROGIP publishes bilateral indicators in Germany and France from 2010 to 2014.
The information in this document are intended to complement the harmonized statistics published by Eurostat. The challenge for EUROGIP is to identify, among the data available for the two countries, those to ensure both data comparability and monitoring over time. This document presents not only statistical data, but also financial ones, in particular active annuities paid to the insured following an accident at work, commuting accident or occupational disease. It will be regularly updated to enable consistent monitoring of information over time.
The information put into perspective by EUROGIP come from official data of the competent bodies of the two countries concerned, namely the National Fund of the Occupational Risks Department of Health insurance for employees (CNAMTS) in France and Deutsche Gesetzliche Unfallversicherung (DGUV) in Germany.

Process of revision of the lists of occupational diseases in six European countries
EUROGIP publishes a note on the processes of revision of national lists of occupational diseases. The document covers six European countries : Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom.
As part of its knowledge and reports already published on occupational diseases in Europe, EUROGIP was asked by the “Conseil d’orientation des conditions de travail (COCT – Working Conditions Orientation Council) and the Occupational Hazards Directorate of the CNAM to work on the subject.
What the six countries have in common with France is that they have an “in-house” list. This is the result of a long history of occupational risk insurance. And they periodically review this list. In addition, there is available and/or public information on this technical subject for these countries.

TTIP and possible impacts for occupational injury insurance
Since the negotiations began in 2013, the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) has aroused numerous discussions.
For some, it represents a hope of extraordinary economic growth. For others, it means the dismantling of public services. Now, in negotiations that are confidential it is very hard to measure what impact the agreement will have on social matters and in particular on occupational injury and disease insurance. There is no doubt that it will have impacts on occupational safety and health (OSH) standardization and certification. This is the conclusion that EUROGIP stands in this note.
